21. Nelly, P. Diddy, Murphy Lee - Shake Ya Tailfeather

I'll have more to say about this disc than the last one. First off, I think Lisa Kekaula's vocals on "Good Luck" are absolutely incredible. Unfortunately, after downloading a few Bellrays albums (which is her full time band), it seems that their more garage punk style just doesn't allow her the freedom and range she displays on "Good Luck."
The Rachel Stevens was recommended to me by Mr. Pytlik, and I can't thank him enough. Anyone recognize the name? Go here. I know very little about this track, but great vocals, great lyrics. Who'd a thought an S Club girl could pull this off?!
MF Doom is Viktor Vaughn's "Let Me Watch" continues to have a huge impact on me. I can't really put it into words (believe me, I've tried about four times to post on this song alone, but as you can see, came up with nothing). Despite my love for Outkast's "Hey Ya!," "Let Me Watch" is definitely my favourite track of the year. Though the lyrics are brilliant, it's Apani B's execution of the words that really makes this song special. The way she goes from the young, naive teen into the pissed off but strong woman is perfect. She's definitely one to watch in the future, even if she's just guesting on a track.
"Chicks and Dicks" captures the fun that is Junior Senior. Unfortunately, the North American version of the album has a slightly different version, and to me, loses the edge found in the original version (which is the one I've used on my comp). Anyone only owning the domestic copy of the album is urged to track down the dutch release of the album (which isn't too hard to find online) just for the original version of this track.
Two other songs to talk about. First off, The Groundbreaker seems to bring in ragga dancehall, hip hop, and dance music, and to me, does it perfectly. Wicked words from a British MC who has been around too long without getting the recognition he deserves. Haven't heard any news about his album, Blackmarket Boy getting released over here, which is a real shame. Definitely an album worth buying on import. All 18 tracks are perfect, but this one is mindboggling.
Finally, Avril Lavigne's "I'm With You." I love this song way too much, and I have come to realize this. But there's something about the lyrics that just seem a little more interesting than most songs of this nature, and when she belts out "I'm with yooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuu" at the end, I melt every time. Still haven't decided if the album is really worth buying, but this one track has stuck with me for the last few months, and I still love it every time I hear it.
